“Enthusiasm is a Muscle”

To stay enthusiastic you have to find a way to tap back into the original desire that led you on the path to begin with. I caution people who look and think that it’s money.  In my case, this was not the case.  It’s always been about the work, period. It’s always been about the love of the work –  Decisions: Making the Right Decisions. Righting the Wrong One by Jim Treliving

As a leader do you agree that keeping your enthusiasm is important and if so how do you prepare daily to stay enthusiastic?  What tools, ideas, exercises, do you use to keep you at your best?

I am also interested to know how you keep your original desire front and centre as it is easy to be overrun with every day details and duties.   Also, what motivates you?  Is it the work and if so what is it about the work that gives you so much enthusiasm?
